Before acceptance
There is no charge for a complimentary initial inquiry. If a paid assessment, design service, material sample, or inspection is offered, the fee and cancellation terms are disclosed before purchase.
Deposits and scheduling
A deposit may reserve labor, project time, materials, permits, or specialty services. Deposits are applied to the project balance. Refundability depends on the agreement, cancellation timing, work already performed, non-returnable purchases, restocking fees, administrative costs, and other committed expenses.
Customer cancellation
Cancellation requests must be sent promptly in writing to contact@pensandpaintings.com. Any refund due is calculated after subtracting completed work, ordered or delivered materials, nonrecoverable fees, committed subcontractor costs, and other amounts permitted by the agreement and applicable law.
Company cancellation
If the contracting company cancels before work begins for reasons not caused by the customer, refundable amounts received for unperformed work are returned, less any authorized nonrecoverable project costs.
Completed work and concerns
Payments for properly completed work are not generally refundable. If you believe work does not match the written scope, notify the project contact promptly and provide reasonable access to review and, when appropriate, address the concern under the agreement.
Payment processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible. Processing times depend on Square, the card network, the customer’s financial institution, and other payment providers.
Mandatory rights
Nothing in this policy limits cancellation, refund, chargeback, warranty, or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in the applicable jurisdiction.
